Laptops and Hotspots

Borrowing

Students who are registered for classes may request to borrow a laptop or hotspot loaner for the semester.

Laptop and hotspot requests are approved based upon registration status, course dates and availability. Students may select the preferred location for device pickup. After approval, students will receive a notice with detailed borrowing information, including a pick up date and location.

Request Forms

Returns

Students may return a laptop or hotspot to either campus library, regardless of where the item was checked-out. Laptops and hotspots must be returned to a library service desk during regular library hours on or before the due date. Items that are not returned on time are subject to overdue policy, which includes replacement fees of up to $500 and a student account hold on grades, transcripts and library borrowing.

Renewals

Laptops and hotspots will not automatically renew for the next semester. If you are registered for summer classes and need access to a laptop or hotspot, you must submit a request form for that semester. Students with laptops and hotspots currently on loan are given first priority. Students must return loaner laptops each semester so staff can perform inventory, software updates and inspect condition.

Calculators

A variety of calculators, including graphing and scientific, are available on first come, first served basis at both campus libraries.

Limit 1 per student, semester checkout, 1 renewal available upon request.
