Valley Food Share is an initiative designed to meet the immediate food needs of Kalamazoo Valley students. Distribution is currently a drive-thru service alternating between the Food Innovation Center and the Texas Township Campus every Thursday from 2-4 p.m. Students will receive an email on Thursdays that includes a link to sign up for a share as well as instructions for pick up.
Staff from Student Development Services can meet with students individually to discuss their non-academic needs. Staff can identify community and college resources that may be available to the student. Resources can include food resources, housing options, child care, financial barriers, legal troubles, and health concerns. In addition, staff will coach students on problem-solving, and prioritize goal setting, time management, and more.
